Brewfest 2008

Saturday Evening sold out as usual and the evening was balmy
and sultry looking like a very nice sunset on Lake Champlain.
I've been told it gets too crowded but experience this "too crowded"
event because it is amazing to see such a collective buzz in action under
these circumstances in a beautiful and unique setting.

Please Enjoy the show. Please add comments about your experience!

Beer Blessings

Zero Gravity on Saint Paul Street has a lot of exotic beers in bottles available.
VPB has sour cherries and spruce boughs on cask so what more could you ask for?

"Chaotic Chemistry" rare(Zero G) is a concoction LIKE:
bourbon and orange juice, maybe some raisins mashed in on the nose; midpalate-
a rich conflag of malty richness, belgian fruit and finishes with a well balanced
maturation of alcohol warmth and rummy sweetness.
It is strong and kind of like a cross between a Barleywine and a Dubbel.

Kudos to Magic Hat doing some really nice stuff lately and getting it out there.

On the subject of "drinker vs.
afficianado?" : There really isn't any separation once you get
educated-- so keep drinking, I mean learning!

2007 Vermont Brewers Festival

It was a great day for sampling IPA's and the best food by far was the American Flatbread.
Cooked in a wood fired oven right before your very eyes from locally sourced ingredients.
Try it with your favorite sample.

The afternoon is crazy-fun enough, and you can still breathe in between sampling destinations.
The evening session started with a beautiful clear sunset, long line, so enjoy
the view as you wait.
